![]() ![]() While we may not get a list of release notes quite so long, this means that Tweaks will be released sooner, right when they're ready, rather than stored up as one huge update - which results in more great changes for Toontown!Īs it turns out, making Tweaks to Toontown was a bigger blessing than we thought! We've made so many adjustments that a lot of our own suggestions have already been implemented, which is where you come in. Keeping in the spirit of the community-suggested update, we've listened to YOU and decided to release the tweaks as they are developed rather than saving them up for one big update. You may have forgotten that some of those changes used to be different!Īlthough we all LOVED seeing a release note list that long, you may have noticed lately that since a lot of the original game's content has been released, we've been lacking release notes at all! You can view the whole list over here on the final Toontown Tweaks Blog Post from last year. That post turned into one of our largest updates EVER, resulting in some of the biggest and most loved changes for the game. The idea was a hit, and so we proudly put together a big update consisting entirely of community-suggested tweaks. Last year, we released a Backstage post just like this one where we talked about making a couple of Tweaks to Toontown. Just like last year, we're going to talk about making. There's a lot we've been working on, but first it's time to talk about something more along the lines of the "classics" in terms of updates. And quite honestly this land is a new standard for us and we’re extraordinarily proud of it.Did you miss us? We're back for another exciting Backstage Column, where we talk about the inside scoop of the Toontown Rewritten team. They are the people that will bring to life, the passion, the empathy, the sensitivity of what this land is all about. So you’ve heard enough about me, I wanted to just take one last shout out to our cast members, the operational cast members, you see them in their costumes throughout the park. So I’m very, very pleased to be able to talk about those kinds of things as well. ![]() We wanted to make sure that to all of our guests, and especially our children with a variety of different capabilities and abilities, that this was a welcoming place for everyone. One of the things that went into this was care and thoughtfulness. And the hot corner of the park encompasses, when you walk right outside the gates of Toontown, it encompasses the Tale of The Lion King at the Fantasyland Theater, the Small World attraction, the parade step-off and so many other things that happen in that area, it makes this multi-layered experience on this side of the park so extra special and really, really effective, so we’re thrilled about that, as well. To give you a little bit of context, Toontown lives right here in what I have been calling the ‘hot corner’ of the park. And again, I would like to give a big round of applause to all of those people that worked on it here today. So, in addition to Imagineering, one of the things that we think about are all the different disciplines and people and groups that went into this very layered experience. We hope you’ll look at it through those lenses today as you get to experience it.īy the way, doing something like this is truly, you know, a team effort and it takes a village to make it happen. ![]() And I think the Imagineering team built this and developed this with such sensitivity that it really is coming through. One of the things that we wanted to be able to do is recognize that this was going to be a land that was available, not just to all of our guests and our families, but all children of all capabilities and all ages. One of the things that I think is so incredibly important, is recognizing that Toontown, and what we tried to accomplish here in Toontown was really not just creativity and hard work, but a labor of love. And today, Toontown is one of those very, very exciting and dear milestones. But we built it in such a way that we would have new milestones along the journey. We launched our celebration in January, and it continues to do extraordinarily well.
